Rapid Fish is... well, it's hard to say.

The name is an allusion to the Rapid Trout, a gigantic ugly, concrete-cast thing on Rapid City's Omaha Street. The Trout was commissioned by the South Dakota Cement Plant and the Rapid City Arts Council in 1994 to "encourage fishers to limit their kills, not kill their limit." Martin Wanzerski, a Professor of Art at the University of South Dakota organized and directed the project, which is very likely the finest creative work that institution has produced. At the very least, it's a good deal better than the poetry their English professors read on NPR all the time. Blah.

The website -- rapidfish.org -- is a work in progress... but we would appreciate some help getting rid of all this bloody bandwidth. Through our host, Dreamhost, we offer many, many services... to be precise, these services--everything under L2, anyway. If you know Joan or Rob, just ask one of them for an email account, some web space, or whatever. We're friendly people here, and we'll probably even help you set things up.
